Hi and thanks for visiting my website!
My name is Mohammed Isah; I live in Truganina, located in the city of Wyndham, 20kms south-west of the Melbourne CBD. I am currently completing a degree in Social Work. In November I will be running for election as a Councillor in the City of Wyndham, Truganina ward.
I am passionate about social justice and advocating on behalf of the community. Since being named as winner of the Wyndham Young Achiever of the Year Award in 2008, I have been active in facilitating groups to address common issues in the community; running workshops to provide awareness to issues such as unemployment, the community’s legal rights, homelessness and the rights and responsibilities of refugees and the newly arrived in the community.
"Working together for the future of the Community".
Having volunteered at various community based organizations, including Wyndham Legal Service and a school for young people suffering from cerebral palsy, I believe I am in touch with some of the most important issues that face our community, especially for young people and other marginalized groups. I am dedicated to working and improving outcomes for people in the community through extensive volunteering and fundraising initiatives to help individuals and groups. I believe this is an important part of creating a fairer and more inclusive community.
Regards and Thanks,
Mohammed Isah
